Details:

A little paint or a top cover from a parts rig would make this look good again. In other words, this rig was designed for serious weak signal work. I have a mostly functional and very hard to find Kenwood gifts 780 2m 70cm multi mode transceiver.

99 MHz the weak signal and satellite portion of 70cm. Frequency range is MHz the whole 2m band and this is a stock radio. Package at your door when it arrives. I paid a pretty penny for those manuals.

There are other relatively minor scratches and scrapes as well. It comes with the stock MC 43s up down mic. There is an extra service manual for the us.

Weight is over 22 lbs for just the radio. The top cover is cosmetically fair to rough, with significant paint damage near the top door and on the side next to the top door.

It's certainly in steerable condition. The optional tu 4c CTS tone encoder board is not included. This one only puts out 7w, hence it being listed as needing work. The gifts 780 has a built in ac power supply but can also run on 13.

Cross band split operation between the two UFOs is possible for satellite operation but the two UFOs do not track each other. This was a very expensive rig in the early 80s and it's built like a tank. Model which is also included.

With the mic, manuals and packing expect roughly a 25 lb. It does cw, ssb and fm and was rated at 10w output. No options or accessories are included. The front panel of the rig is OK, with some scratching around the edges.

The rig has dual UFOs, if shift, an effective noise blanker, Cox, the ability to choose lbs or USB for satellite work, the choice to scan one band or both, front panel adjustable ssb mic.
