Details:
The spots all over this radio are not rust they are some sticky substance possibly soda it softens up with a damp sponge after time. All knobs turn freely, the tuning knob is smooth but stiff. I can answer questions about it if you explain things simply non ham radio operator this is from an estate sale.
If you are looking at this you already know more than I do about it. I plugged the unit in and after about 40 sec tubes warmed up it emits all kinds of static and electrical noise. There was no smoke, fire, sparks or ominous noises.
