That way I could turn up the volume to whatever wanted. Even though there is a YouTube video of guy replacing this board in his rig which makes it look pretty simple, i'm just not that good with soldering iron. I own an old Kenwood TS-520SE that suddenly developed a bad distortion problem on receive audio at any volume above low setting. But I still wanted to fix the problem within rig so bought this audio board off.

It is x49 so, I decided to stick with just using my external speaker which means have this board available for resale. So, what if the guy I bought this from sold me a bad one. I got around the problem by connecting a cheap computer speaker. This board was taken out of a ts-520s but I did some research and found that the part number for TS-520SE are same.

I understand its usually just a transistor that needs to be replaced but replacing the entire for some people is easier.
