Cosmetically, the radio is in good condition, with some minor paint loss, scratches and surface rust, but presents fairly well. I was unable to get reception on the shortwave band, but that is not unusual for my area. The power cord is in good condition, but a little stiff. Fresh from a local estate that had hundreds of radios, this is vintage Minerva Tropic Master model W-117 AM/SW radio in good working condition.
Unfortunately, the front cover is missing. All of the knobs turn smoothly and properly dial indicator functions as well. The unit was able to receive stations on the AM band quite readily, with minimal background noise.
