I ve operated many different countries with this rig. I know the deal how radios can get beat up in mail. Inside the head of microphone is a small condenser which has little amplifier and on photo you can see picture where off switch.

I personally have owned this rig and know its a good one I m sure you'll time as well. It has a very nice warm sound to it. I've operated for hours and its really cool. The microphone is modified.

I did this myself so that it had classic look. Output is about 130 W but I never pushed it to the full power for very long get a little more life on finals. I've double boxed and bubble wrapped so forth.

There is a little bit of hum but its not that bad.
