While I have made a rather dreary presentation of this SX-28, it has potential as parts unit that someone with some time could part out and actually make money on the main band spread tuning mechanisms spin easily although grimy appearance. I will not vouch for any of these claims. This unit for in-person pickup only it is now in my garage.

The band spread indication points are non-functional apparent associated strings just hanging loose in my living room, unit has functioned to extent that a few stations can be tuned on multiple bands does have level of overall grime and some dirt top chassis. 2 no other electrical or quantifiable testing, adjustment alignment has been performed while I have had it. I did find some discussion on the net from 2009 that indicates this particular unit serial no. Note though that many SX-28s are offered on not having been tested some with tubes missing.

The top cover, bottom and tuning knob external face plate clutch brake for instance are all missing. Various other parts may be missing or broken service manuals are available for free on the internet and useful ascertaining possibilities of this another SX-28. Feel free to send any questions.

H the performance though with a first floor indoor short long wire antenna in all regards is inferior to that of an 80 grinding portable whip tried at same time. The ABC knob is not original look at images they are quite detailed and can show you condition if do see something it included.
