Not like around here where my kids call it 'the big heavy thing' 42 pounds when I factor in plenty of packing material. Not sure what else goes into bringing one of these back to life. I am a ham radio operator so this got my attention. As best I can tell it didn't come from smoking home - can't smell any smoke on my grandfather smoked like a chimney so know smokey radio.
Otherwise i'll let the pictures speak for themselves. It is in beautiful shape. I don't have any way of testing it.
I don't know much about it myself.
This thing is in incredible shape for how old it. Hopefully it will go to a good home where can be restored or used for parts appreciated in some way another.
See pictures. Some 'marring' black marks, one red I think on top from handling over the years.
I can say the main dial seems very smooth. There was one random little top thing for a tube rolling around inside when I opened it up. It looks to have all the knobs and screws such.
I'm sure all the paper capacitors in bottom will need to be replaced. It just smells like an old radio to me.
