I like having one earbud so the other ear is free to hear whats around me when i'm out and about. While some newer rigs have vox built in this headset can be a nice addition to that don't. There are foam ear pads included to go on the earbud as well for comfort.

Has a small earbud that fits in ear but because its all part of the headset assembly you don't have weight long cord pulling down on it so I do find these surprisingly comfortable. New in package Alinco EME-13A headset microphone with ptt and vox. Personally I prefer to use the ptt but every once and a while need both hands free so switching it vox can be handy at times. This is a nice set with adjustable headband and microphone.

I've used these on other rigs but can't guarantee perfect fitment. Its a nice setup and seems to be pretty good quality made in japan, I don't use my headsets all that often so have much long term experience but do like this model. You can switch between ptt mode or vox right on the control and it has a thumb wheel to adjust gain as well. Fits two pin Alinco handheld jacks and I think it'll also fit some icon rigs.

Worst case scenario you can get an adapter as there are plenty of adapters to make this work most other handhelds.
