The DJ-190T had a msrp: watts watt setting was more than needed for clear communications, and batteries lasted day. No handling charges. We were 2 miles off shore and could still talk to our family in the cabin. I found out about the radio on a peppers site, apparently they use them in itinerant bands, and was impressed with performance ease of operation.

I love the radio because you can use AA batteries in it not included, or go to two way world and get their Alinco BP 36 36n battery kit. Holsters are made for belt or hunting jacket straps. 2vdc, and 5 watts urban settings will take a little off the miles due to building signal penetration.
