I am figuring around 50 pounds boxed. I have equipment that was made back in the early 50's that still performs quite well that are using original parts. The da 391 is the same unit inside electrically as the Heathkit aa they had a good sound.
I have built and repaired many through the years.
Some times they surprise me though.
The only thing I have noticed is the on off switch has been replaced with a nice push button switch that could be removed if you wanted to put back exactly like original. The vacuum seal didn't hold.
Heath sold the aa 1 7591 tube amplifier for many years. No other rust noted or found. This unit is in very good physical condition for its age so it should make a very fine unit when restored.
They were nice units. This rust could be treated with rust reducer and the air fins painted with matching paint. It has one tube which has turned white.
It would be wise to change them. Shipped to lower 48 states address only. Some people liked this new cabinet design better.
There is a break in the cabinet vinyl by the air fins. Cabinet is quiet dirty, but should clean up OK. Actually very nice chassis.
It is quite nice looking. I have put every thing back together. I purchased this unit several years ago and had plans of doing a restoration, but do to old age and failing health I have decided to offer the unit for parts or restoration now at this time. No reserve.
I disassembled the cabinet and took lots of pictures for you to see actual condition. Tube will need to be replaced. The listing is charging 69,95,but depending where you live it could be less.
This usually indicates a gas leak of the tube.
