The unit is absolutely pristine and comes with the integral 110vac power supply, original power cord, factory microphone, and is packed in the original factory cartons double boxed. Option, or you can run it from your 12vdc power supply. All testing indicates this equipment is working very well. It was thoroughly tested over a two day period including interfacing it with various common gear amplifier, LG flt meter, signaling, etc.
You can also add up to 2 on board battery packs Yaesu pn NB 78 available from many sources, making this the ecm and field day of choice for many. It would be hard to find a more flexible and rugged radio for field use. To test various attributes.
I have experience with the ft 991, and personally if I were to choose one or the other for field use I would choose the ft 897D. I am not intimately familiar with the rig however I know for portable operations it has been for many years the go to standard for emergency communications, and I can see why. The radio itself serial number ok370325 operates perfectly. The radio features the optional internal 110vac power supply a he never even turned it on.
It cannot be told from new. External auto tuners.
Battery packs, and all accessories are still available.
It also includes the original manual. It has since been thoroughly tested by an electrical engineer and extra class amateur radio operator and found to be working perfectly, as expected.
