Details:

There is receiver AF, but no receive signal from the antenna input. This rig is fully operative except that there no RF signal input on receive. Asian and European markets.

The RF circuit is based on a - manually or automatically microprocessor controlled pin diode attenuate with 2 bipolar power transistors being used as high level amplifier in receive mode and double output pre-driver transmit. The use of FM required an optional board be installed. The original hand-held Yaesu mic, and mains cord are included. The unit was designed for fixed, portable or mobile operation, although size 380mm x 157 350 and weight 17 kg would make it more suitable fixed use.

The Ft-one was built by Japanese Yaesu-Muse corporation usually called just Yaesu from 1982 to at its release this an expensive top of line transceiver. The Ft-one was ahead of its time when it first came on market, and can still hold own. The Ft-one was sold on us.

To guarantee a clean local oscillator signal the shortly diode mixer module 6 separate cos are being used. A golden oldie. The final power transistors produce 100w through a 3-stage microprocessor controlled low-pass filter.

The receiver is standard filtered by a 22-pole crystal filter with switchable extra 8 and 6 pole narrow band cw filters, 14 Sb separate. I do not have the equipment or time to repair this rig, but it would make an interesting restoration project, a great source of parts for another Ft-one. At its release, the Ft-one was launched as successor to ft-902 and new Yaesu top of line transceiver.
