This cable has its own sound card and it shows up in the list of all digital computer programs I have used. The stand is supposed to be temperature controlled but it always was on. Maybe you can fix it. Cat control of this radio works using the blue USB cable plugged into Head Unit.
I created a Digital Audio In/Audio Out/ USB cable to plug into the 9pin DIN socket on back of radio for digital modes such as FT8/RTTY/ and Barack/ psk31. You still get the 160, 80, 60, 40, 30, 20, 17 meter bands at full power. Thanks and Take it easy. If you don't ever use those bands, than this radio and cables are FOR YOU.
Unfortunately, for some reason beyond me, 12m and 10m will receive but only put out 1.5 watts . When audio is coming in from radio to computer, the LED on cable blinks faster. I have this 160m - 17m radio working great SSB, CW, RTTY, and Barack modes all the time, 20 watts . I have taken great care of this radio It has a cooling stand which installed rocker switch to turn it on/off when desired.
I have a splutter created if one wants to hook up an Amplifier this radio. This Radio up for sale is World Famous.
