The 5 nb will not get rid of all noise, but will greatly reduce man made noise coming from pulse sources found from household wiring, fluorescent lamps, lamp dimmers, etc.

The rl Drake company did not offer a lot of accessories with the spr 4, but did make calibrator and noise blanker modules available to enhance listening. In addition, they sold extra crystals to expand the bands available for the user to tune into more frequencies than the factory supplied crystals.

This module is the 5 nb noise blanker that can be installed in a matter of minutes by a non technical person. You merely remove 6 screws to take off the top cover, remove the jumper cable, and then gently push the noise blanker board into the socket. Regardless of where you live. After replacing the top cover, the noise blanker is installed and ready to use by turning on with the front panel selector.
