Details:

There are many reviews on wham for the r40 20 but I could not find any 30. You can feel tiny notches in the tuning mechanism, by design, when change frequencies. This radio is virtually the same as Ten Tec r40 20, except that 20 includes meter band instead of 30. Good transmit and receive.

Reproduction manual included. Used Ten Tec r40 30 which is in good condition. It seems like needs a minor adjustment but i'm one of those guys who is afraid to open the rig up and try adjust. Although the tuning is accurate and moves you to next frequency, about one in every Ten times can move notch frequency doesn't change, but will then that when moved.

In fact, the manual is same one for both rigs. The main criticism I hear about these radios is that volume isn't high enough. The top of radio features a NBC antenna connection and 12 CDC jack. That can be easily remedied by plugging a small amplified speaker into the rig via jack for headphones.

This is a 5 watt qrp transceiver that covers the 40 and 30 meter bands. While it is in overall good condition, the tuning could use some adjustment. There are some you tube videos on the internet showing this.
