Icom P4AT, P2AT, P3AT, HS-50, HS-100, HS-200, HTS-7000, and BP-110 are all radio accessories from Icom, a well-respected brand in the communication industry. Let's discuss the pros and cons of each, followed by a conclusion and recommendation.

1. Icom P4AT:

- Pros: Compact size, high power output (15W), and compatibility with various radios.

- Cons: Higher price point and may require additional coolers for continuous operation.

2. Icom P2AT:

- Pros: Portable and lightweight, suitable for mobile or handheld use, and offers 10W of power.

- Cons: Lower power output compared to P4AT, and may not be suitable for high-power applications.

3. Icom P3AT:

- Pros: Compact and lightweight design, offers 5W of power, and suitable for mobile or handheld use.

- Cons: Lower power output compared to P4AT and P2AT, and may not be suitable for high-power applications.

4. Icom HS-50, HS-100, HS-200, HTS-7000:

- Pros: These are base station transceivers with various power outputs (50W, 100W, 200W, and 7000W respectively), and offer advanced features such as digital mode capabilities and built-in automatic antenna tuners.

- Cons: Higher price points, larger size, and may require professional installation.

5. Icom BP-110:

- Pros: This is a high-quality antenna with a wide frequency range and a whip design that is suitable for mobile and base station use.

- Cons: Requires an additional antenna tuner for optimal performance, and may not provide the same gain as other antenna types (e.g., yagi or log-periodic).

In conclusion, the choice between these Icom accessories largely depends on your specific needs. If you require a compact and portable solution for mobile or handheld use, the P2AT or P3AT may be suitable. For high-power applications or base station use, consider the HS-series or HTS-7000. If you're looking for a good antenna, the BP-110 is a solid choice, but you may need an additional antenna tuner for optimal performance.

Recommendation: Invest in the Icom accessory that best fits your specific communication needs and budget. If you're unsure, it may be beneficial to consult with a communication specialist or do further research to ensure you make the best purchase decision.

Details:

I'm not sure why, but replacing the internal battery may fix issue. But again, if you remove the battery pack and then plug back into radio at a later time, will not turn on without doing another reset. The radio will now be functional. Secondly, the P2AT radio 2 meters main tuning knob does not function.

NOW FOR THE BAD NEWS: All four radios will need to have their internal batteries replaced. The main tuning knobs on the other 3 radios work perfectly. This is performed by holding in the F function key and Clear button key while turning radio on. THEY ALL COME WITH THE ORIGINAL ANTENNAS, 5-BP-110 AA BATTERY HOLDERS AND TWO COPIES OF MANUAL.
