For offer is a vintage, original B W model LPA-1 Ham radio linear amplifier with matching pair codes of US Military RCA JAN 813 tubes included and multiple extra related parts included, too. As with all vintage electronics, a qualified person and/or technician should go through this item before continuous use.
The original owner also has some backside connections, etc. This model LPA-1 by B W certainly has potential to be a great addition your period Ham radio line, collection and/or other related station. One through five, and pictures thirteen seventeen provide clear views of this items cabinet, top bottom side to side, which retains its near uniform painted finish where applicable. This amplifier also retains its factory original two tone painted finish; please review picture thirteen to note the front panel of this unit being shown with camera flash as opposed one which depicts without. All verbiage and/or lettering is original and legible as also shown in multiple pictures. B W made excellent, top notch and rugged Ham radio equipment in their day, much of which like this unit.
Item also looks to be free from any non original modifications, large drilled holes, amounts of staining/deep surface wear, etc. The original meter does show movement per its needle inside. Item is free from any loose particles inside/outside its original B W factory metal cabinet. This item has its functioning top cover which opens/closes correctly.
Please see pictures four through nine to the inside of this unit; where all parts including its transformer, blower, matching pair ceramic tube sockets, indicator coils, air variable capacitors, etc. The front panel includes each of its matching, original and functioning knobs; the meter is too, intact without any cracking in glass. Please see all pictures as they are an integral part of this. The backside of this amplifier was found with a neatly done array coaxial cable, wiring, power connection, etc.
