I tested with a speaker mic and the audio was loud and clear so perhaps just a speaker issue. This is a commercial rig and I was looking for the ham version. I'm listing it for parts or repair because I can't fully test the unit in other frequencies as i'm not licensed to do so, and I feel that the audio through the built in speaker was low.
Since i'm not keeping it i'm not investing time in troubleshooting or replacing a speaker. Nice clean Icom ic t2a handheld radio. Whoever programmed it nicely set it up with a CFO function so I was able to set it up manually for a local repeater to test that frequency.
Comes with a battery that takes a charge but no promises on it's longevity and an antenna. That being said I was able to test it on a local 2 meter repeater but tested it no further so I don't guarantee this rig or any of the specs. I bought this thinking it was a different model and became obvious when I received it that it wan't what I was looking for. This rig is in really nice cosmetic condition with no major markings on it.
