Details:

6 v nicked battery, which is in the parts, but at this age I would not expect it to be usable. However, everything appears to be usable and would not affect operation of the unit. Also, some of the internal chassis metalwork is scratched and appears to have been sanded.

So, I am offering it to someone else for their pleasure in building a classic communications receiver. This kit is not for the novice, but should be constructed by experienced builder.

The receiver covers 190 khz-410 khz and 550 khz-30 MHz in 6 bands. I purchased the unit some 6 months ago with intent of building it myself, but have not found time to start construction. A reproduction of the original assembly manual is supplied. The GR-78 was designed to run off an internal rechargeable 9.

I have no idea why. A more modern approach would be to simply eliminate the entire power supply circuitry and replace it with 9-10 v external.

1 micro farad ceramic capacitor, Pickford mica capacitor. All parts seem to be present according the list with following exceptions: Pickford mica capacitor, 2 47k ohm 1 watt carbon film resistors. There are a few minor scuff marks on the cabinet metalwork and indication of wear around screw holes as if might have been assembled. Assembly does not appear to be difficult, but one must know what they are doing, particularly in regards the older parts.

Also, us sales only. To the best of my knowledge, that is all missing.
