Incredibly rare. No choice in the matter at all gotta do what I do depend on an ht for my life occasion to get business, rig is longer quite new-in-box, of course. I originally came across this rig in 2017, listed as new-in-box. When it arrived the rig was indeed new-in-box.
And the FT690RII was my first real rig, after standard ht of course magic band is 1 love in radio never even got cold. It does include everything else, all in superb condition: manuals both standard and later update from Yaesu, warranty card, schematics complete fl-6020 10w amp, mh-15c8 mic,mm b-31 mobile mounting bracket, screws, fuses etc. I would rate it excellent. I did not buy the separate fab-8 d-cell battery case, fats-7a CTS tone squelch unit or YWHA-6 front-face telescoping antenna for portable ops.
I think just stood there for awhile staring at it. Non-smoking, pretty much sterile operating environment. I was pretty skeptical it seemed like finding a factory-new corvette in an old barn somewhere and Yaesu decal.
Even the box itself had very minimal wear utterly reliable, this rig is revered and venerable benchmark standard of 6m all-mode operators. It truly is a beauty, but I absolutely positively need new dual-band ht for the skyward season. Nope, not dreaming. The FT690RII is a superb rig for its era op-amp.
Modern dc-to-daylight rigs with 6m jammed in there like an unwanted stepchild just have no charisma, class at all, IMO.
