I've had hams tell me they've used them in the old heath kit tube rigs, but i'd advise using for qrp only. I have used these little crystals with good success in low power qrp rigs and sold hundreds of them to other hams who had results. I simply popped out the original crystals and replaced them with crystal type that you see in second photo.

One each of 3560, khz frequencies. I've never destroyed one, but they can be cracked if you press them too hard. I have several sets available, so these are generic photos.
