The FME500 FMA5000 SG FM Productions PanAxis Stereo PanCom Exciter Transmitter is a state-of-the-art audio processing tool designed for broadcasting applications. This high-end transmitter combines advanced features and exceptional performance to deliver superior sound quality.

At its core, the FME500 is a stereo pancom exciter, capable of creating a wide and natural stereo image. The PanAxis feature allows for precise control over the stereo width, ensuring that the audio always sounds balanced and cohesive, regardless of the listening environment. The exciter section adds clarity and presence to the audio, making it stand out in a crowded broadcast environment.

The FMA5000 SG in the name refers to the transmitter's advanced modulation and audio processing capabilities. The Modulation Assist feature ensures that the transmitter always operates within the FCC's strict modulation requirements, while the Smart Guard feature automatically adjusts the transmitter's output power to maintain a consistent signal level. The Stereo Generator section provides additional processing options, including equalization, compression, and limiting, to further enhance the audio quality.

Ultimately, the best choice depends on your specific needs and budget.

Recommendation:

I would recommend considering your specific needs and budget when choosing between these options. If you are a professional audio engineer or broadcaster, you may want to invest in a more advanced and feature-rich option such as the FMA5000, FM Productions, or Panaxis. However, if you are a hobbyist or have a more limited budget, the FME500, SG, or Pancom may be a better fit. It's also important to research and read reviews to ensure that the product you choose meets your specific requirements.

Details:

Enough reminiscing though. I would recommend using a separate power supply for the fma 50 although the included supply will hold the load. However, year after year, a more stable circuit had become a necessity.

Up for sale is a complete 5w fm stereo exciter kit or at least was a kit at one time which was designed and distributed by panaxis productions, beginning in the early to mid 1980 Wow.

The fact that the Ramsey kit was not pall synthesized really wan't that bad at the time, since most fm receivers were still analog. Just when I had almost given up on finding a suitable kit to step up with, I was introduced to these kits from panaxis. Talk about an oldie but goodies.

All of my respect goes out to Ernie, who personally designed these, and other great experimental broadcaster gems. It really wan't as bad as it sounds though, because I really squeezed the juice out of that little circuit kit. The only kit which does not include an instruction manual is the power supply, but this is a simple enough device to not require one.

I remember that before coming across these kits in the late 80s, the younger version of me had been on the air with a 10 mono non pall fm transmitter kit, from Ramsey electronics. I modified what was an 8 component kit which was originally designed to produce no more than 15mw, to one which broadcast my oldies radio show with full quieting at almost a mile from my studio. This was the got to kit for any radio enthusiast in the know, back in the 1980 These kits, in my opinion, still possess a level of quality and knowledge base which surpasses even that of newer fm transmitter kits out there.

Up for sale is a complete set of the now rare and hard to find fm stereo transmitter kits that really opened the door to many young radio enthusiasts like myself, back in the 80s. Of course, no kit would be complete without manuals and instructions, so these are also included in the original print versions. The set includes the coveted FME500 3 500mw output exciter which went through 5 or so different incarnations before settling on this final version.

I was now able to build and operate pall fm stereo transmitters that with the right audio processing, sounded better than most commercial radio stations on the dial. This was a game changer for me.
