This would be a good radio for either collector, packet use or just someone who likes older radios with no pl tones scanning capabilities. The connection is in rear so mic stays connected if you do use it for packet works fine, only issue I can see that single led segment that's out picture but doesn't hurt your ability to tune radio. I bought this radio from a friend back in the late 80s 1980that is. This seems to be identical the Clegg fm 88 except that one goes from 147.

This one covers you tune each part of the frequency with a different knob or button.
