The inside looks to be clean. Your meter may show higher or lower, depending on the radio you are using, power supply, antenna system.

I only have a 40 power supply. I only removed the cover to take a picture just show it was not full of dirt meter in is included. The back cover has a small dent on it. I was getting around 800 watts pep out of this tampon my meter.
