This installation does not require any technical skill. The vc 20 is pretty easy to install and comes with a copy of the installation sheet to guide you in the process. Regarding installation, you do not require anything but a properly sized Phillips head screwdriver and about 30 minutes of time.
Basically, you remove the top cover of the kenwood r 50 attach the 3 cables inside the kenwood to the vc 20 specifically for that purpose, and then fasten it to the main board with 2 screws and the rear panel with the 4 screws.
This is not a technical installation and should be able to be performed by even the least technical person out there as it requires no soldering.
