You won't be disappointed. The optional cable included is for late serial numbered drake tr4c transceivers. It can also be directly connected to your radio with the instructions included in manual.

All digits on the display are bright and clear. You can tell if the cable will work for your tr4 by looking on bottom under main dial. If you see a large jack it will work on your rig. This display is a pleasure to use and makes frequency changes snap.
