The iMac tube, transformer and capacitor bank are more than worth minimum bid price. You can see that the power on leads have been cut from switch. It looks like was designed by w8ji for heathkit, when he worked Ameritron. The pictures show exact condition of this amplifier.

There are no arcs or burns on any of the interior components. There is also a wire broke to meter pilot lamp. For sale parts is an AL80A dressed up in heathkit SB-1000 sheet-metal.

Its a little hard to see in the pictures, but looking past blue capacitor. The unit is also missing a knob on front panel for multi meter function.

Will it work. I don't know the exact story on this amplifier, but because of what see. It most likely was a sample prior to actual production quantity.
