By adjusting the AFC decay, pass band and adjustable clamped end skirt if gain control, you'll have phenomenal control over receive signal. All of the led panels and functions work. This hf rig is very painful for me to sell, but i'm moving an hora, and have let it go.
The build quality of this radio is pretty amazing and near if not complete military spec. On the receive end, transceiver performs exceptionally with extreme receiver sensitivity and selectivity. The front panel is virtually flawless with only minor signs of wear on exterior covering. The radio puts out approximately 150 watts on meters, and about 100 160 meters.
If there is a signal to be heard out there, this rig will hear it. I think this rig must have been like alien technology back in the early 1980, and Swan cubic did a great job with one. Up for sale is the Swan astro 102BX hf transceiver in excellent physical and operating condition. On the interior, it has very thick gauge metal panels circuit boards, and rare if not impossible to find red ribbon cables.
The radio has been tested and operates very well on transmit receive. The band switches were treated with de-exit, and interior cleaned compressed air.
